Teyton Zander Dunn's Quilt

Hey Everyone!

My co-worker Sara had a baby in late January. His name is Teyton Zander! So cute. The theme for their nursery is woodland animals, so I went with the Oh Deer! line.

Too cute!!!

He is loving the quilt, and that makes me one proud quilter!!

The back is a wood grain print! Perfect!!

Burp Cloths

For my sister's baby shower I made her some burp cloths. i had seen a lot of tutorials for them using pre-fold cloth diapers. So I went to target and picked up a pack of 5. I made her some and my other friends that were expecting some. They were really simple to make and my sister loves them! She says that they are her favorite ones. They are really absorbent and she didn't even know they were cloth diapers!

She asked me to make a few for her friend that is expecting a boy. Her colors are gray and green. So I dug through my stash and found some fabric to make a few. I also made another one for my sister.

I need to thank my friend Miranda a lot for letting me use her sewing machine while mine was getting fixed. Without the help they wouldn't of been done in time. So THANK YOU MIRANDA!!

The one that has the blocks on it I kept for myself because that is a scrap of fabric from the back of my first quilt so it holds some sentimental meaning to me. So I put it in my hope chest haha.

Cyril's Quilt

Back on December 7th 2012, my sister had her son Cyril Seamus Myhaver. He is my first real nephew! I love him to death. At first they didn't want me to make him a quilt, but I was going to anyways. Then they saw a quilt that I made for my friends baby Cooper, and My sister's husband, Chris, said that he wanted me to make Cyril one. So it was a good thing I had already had one in mind! My sister and her husband are both Irish, and her husband is pretty proud of that fact, so I went with the Irish theme.
(Photo Credit) here is Cyril at 7 days young!

I had the top all finished the day that he was born but then I had to quilt it together. It took me longer then I had hoped but I think it was worth the wait. I hand quilted it because I like that look more and I feel like it means there was more love put into it. Christmas came so i was busy with that, and New years came next. But I got it done and I think he Loves it.

I hope it will be a blanket that he will use for a while and will drag around the house with him. I want it to be his baby blanket that my sister tells his girlfriends about when shes trying to embarrass him.

I just hope it gets lots of love and use :)

Do you think hes happy to have it?

 What a Cutie!

The back is an Irish Flag :)

I love giving out Baby Quilts. One more to go for now. My friend/coworker Sara had her baby yesterday 1/23/13 Teyton Zander, now time to embroider his name and finish that one!

New Years In Maine

Garrett and I went up to Maine for New Years Even again this year. We had a lot of fun last year we thought why not do it again? We had an equally awesome time. We invited our friends, Matt and Alexis up but unfortunately Matt had to work new years eve day and it wouldn't be worth the four hour drive to come up. But there is always next year!

We had so much fun! Lauren and Charlie were up as well so we had Christmas in Maine. Garrett got the best gifts ever from his mom this year. He got a big LEGO (like always), an Arcade Fire shirt he has wanted for a while, the anniversary addition of a Rage Against the Machine album, and....wait for it.....a suit like the spacemen where before they go into space! It is so awesome!
I got a gift card to Keepsake Quilting, which is way awesome because I go there ever summer for there Annual sale and spend at least 50 dollars. So i'm saving it for that trip :) Thank you Sue!!

We had a fire every day we were there, we even cooked some great food over the fire too! We went Snowmobiling (which i haven't done in forever!) and we had some fireworks on new years eve too!

Lauren and I walked out into the snowy yard and watched as the others let off the fire works. I was also trying to take some pictures too and I think some came out pretty good considering it was pitch black and I had no idea where they were going to be and nothing to focus on!

We ended the night with Garrett taking a bunch of random pictures and watching the ball drop.

Our last day there Sue, Rich, Garrett and I went out for some Chinese food and ordered way to much!

It was a great time and I always have a lot of fun up in Maine!

I can't wait to go up again in February for their french fry party and to do more snowmobiling!!

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas Everyone!!! I hope you all had a wonderful holiday.

I feel like now things can slow down a little bit. I was a crafting, wrapping, gift buying machine.
I still have a few more things to make for Christmas in Maine but not as much pressure, and a little more breathing room!

I had a wonderful Christmas. Full of laughs, family, and good food. Thank you all for my wonderful gifts!

The best thing I gave out for Christmas, was the gift I gave to my Nana. Last year she gave me her old dresses that she had sewn when she was younger wondering if I would like the fabric for something. I decided to hold onto it because some of it was really cool, and I'm not one to just toss away good fabric.
So this year I decided to make her a wallet out of the clothes that she gave me. She was so excited to when she saw it, the first thing she said was " Oh this is fabric from my dresses!". It was definitely worth the time I took sewing it! I used the pattern from the second installment of One Yard Wonders.

Some funky fabrics on the insides :)

 Santa came!!!

Whats Christmas with out a Bonfire?

And one of my favorite Photos of This Christmas:
Merry Christmas from my Nephew Cyril!
Thank you Miranda for taking such awesome pictures of him!

Thanksgiving

Hey Guys,

I know this post is a little late, but better late then never!!

This year I went to Maine for thanksgiving. I go every other year to Maine to visit Garrett's family then Mass to visit mine.

We drove up Wednesday night, and left on Friday afternoon. The thing I love most about going to visit Garrett's mom is when we are there we sleep in and we don't care. At home I'm always setting my alarm, but in Maine its like a little vacation and I turn my alarm off.

I had a lot of fun this year. Some of the things we did was eat a lot, drink a lot, played with an RC boat, sat around a Bonfire, Set off Rockets, Lit off Chinese Lanterns, and watched an exploding target..well explode!

Lets look at all this excitement in photos!

I am thankful for all my family, and Garrett's family.
I am thankful for everyday that I wake up.
I am thankful for Garrett, and all the love that he gives me.
I am thankful for many things, too many to list
I am very thankful to you, my readers, and for being patient with me when I don't post.

I hope you all had a great thanksgiving!

I have been sewing a lot, and I will post about  that soon!

Cooper's Quilt

Hey Everyone!!

As Some of you may know I have 3 more little boys coming into my life soon!! One of my best friends from school is having a boy in November, then my sister is having a boy in December, and my coworker is having a boy in January!

My Friend Angela just had her baby shower 2 weekends ago so I made her little bundle of joy a quilt that he can enjoy for a while as he grows!!

I made it with the Bungle Jungle line, and I loved it! To save me sometime cutting, I just bought 2 charm packs.

Cute crib to pose on :)

I machine Stitched this one, for  the first time ever! I'm glad Angela doesn't mind or really notice that the stitches vary in length!

All Bundled and ready to go!!!

2 more baby quilts to go!!
